Soaking Wet ... Bangkok Pt.3

I arrive in BKK in the late evening and hop a taxi directly to Bungalampoo. The taxi driver lets me and my friend off a little ways away from the guest house cause the streets are closed off for the begining of the San Karn water festival. My friend who is carrying a shit load of stuff, and me with my empty backpack, walk our way through the first signs of the water festival, and make it to our guest house, only mildly wet. I show up at the green guest house, the ghetto little shit hole I like to stay in, also where my friend owns her internet shop, expecting to find her there working, and her shop is closed. I'm worried a little bit at this point cause at this point at night, it's impossible to find a room in a guest house, especially when there is something special going on. The girls at the guest house recognize me and signal that she is gone. I notice a note on the door of the shop instructing me to meet her at The Wild Orchid. We get our room that she had graciously reserved for me and I met up with her hanging out with some friends half way to the Wild Orchid. Before I even finish eating, I have been soaked several times, and the alchahol is already starting to arrive. It's me, two thai gay guys and about 11 beautifull women drinking, playing, and soaking everybody who dares walk by us.

During the day, the usual routine was something like, wake up, take a shower(in your clothes) don't bother drying off cause as soon as you walk outside, you are getting soaked with squirt guns, buckets of water, and ice water. There are people walking around wiping massive amounts of white paste all over your face, what the paste is, I don't know, but it comes off easy. I heard it's not tradition, and only done in BKK, but it's fun enough. The celebration is for the Buddhist new years, an official 3 day, country wide water fight. This is my third new years celebration I've participated in this year, respectively in 3 different countries.

Pretty much everyday was about the same, till saturday. Two of my friends drove me to Ayutthaya, the ancient capitlal of Thailand where we planned on seeing 9 temples in one day for good luck. We arrive and get some food at a floating restaurant floating on the edge of the river. The food was great. We start on our journey to the temples in the blaring heat, and between the ruins, the temples, the heat, we get burnt out after about 5 temples and say fuck it and go back home.

About an hour after getting back, I meet up with my uncle from Chang Mai who is in town overnight on his way to leading a tour to Cambodia. We head directly to sukumvit to meet his friend and have a night. We eat some food then head right to the bars for happy hour. After hopping a few bars, we settle in one, where a couple others show up, and of course things start to get wild. The others take off and we head to another bar where my uncle knows one of the girls. Me and him start kicking it with two sisters. Intermittently between them dancing, we had at least one of them grinding on our laps, while the conversations and jokes continue. This place is know for the girls wearing skimpy school girls outfits and no bras underneath. On the back side of the bar we notice a guy getting a hand job from two girls, one girl playing with him, and the other playing with herself, and I am reminded that that's called dirty man's corner. It's 300 baht($7.5) for a hand job, and 500 baht($12.50) for a blow job(don't ask how I know haha). Another bar later and we head home at an early 1:30. I head right back to hanging out with everyone else till the morning, and get at most 2 hours of sleep before having to get back on the plane to Macau.

Somewhere in all this I manage to get my stuff from my friends house, and somehow forgot a bag. Even trying to get all my stuff, I still have shit left in Thailand. I get back to Macau, hoping my almost week away will get the customs officials to think I am not making visa runs and give me thirty day visa's again, but no luck. The lady gives me a twenty day visa, which means I might be leaving Macau pretty soon. The next week and a half are a normal week in Macau, I got the website setup, a few other things done, and decide to go to Hong Kong a week early with my friend. She's going for an hour long business meeting and afterwards we do some shopping and hang out. Coming from the small slow paced Macau to the busy massive insanely crouded Hong Kong is extremely draining, especially cause every time you go, you always have a list of things to do. By around 6 oclock we get tired, and get caught in a subway line waiting to get on the subway that will take forever to get on the most crouded subway you can imagine, and decide we're too tired to deal with it and just go home. We hop the ferry back and on the ferry I noticed someone I know. Having not really slept the night before, and doing shit all day, I was too tired and slept the whole ferry ride, despite the screaming kid in the seat behind me. Customs gives me a ten day visa which signals the end of my time in Macau, and I stumble out of the ferry terminal in a depressed stupor to go get some food. I see another friend meeting the previous friend I saw on the boat at the terminal and say hi before taking off.
